Hey moms. My baby is 4 weeks old. And he hasn't pooped in 2 days and you can hear him straining. Any suggestions? *Pic for attention*

@nikbutts757 my son did this all the time! Unless he's in severe discomfort they're usually ok. Hes also going to start a growth spurt so everything he's taking right now is important. What I would do is give him a warm bath, let him stretch out in the water and kick his legs. Also do bycicle legs, that will help with gas and get his insides moving.

I wouldn't give him prune juice. I gave it to my son around 2 months and he screamed for hours because his tummy hurt so bad. Breastfed babies can go 10 days without pooping because all the nutrients are being absorbed into their body. It's totally normal!

He's soooo cute.. Online it says to keep the baby hydrated and it also mentioned prune juice but I'm not really sure if he can have that this early.. have you called his doctor?
