So I'm Less than 2 weeks away from my due date and still stuck on what to pack for my hospital bag. Anyone have any ideas?
@yazcena86, yeah! Isn't that weird! I thought I was going to hate it, but actually I was able to make them warm super easily, by picking what temperature the water was!
@courtney.welsh The laptop thing sounds like a good idea but we probably won't be using it for Netflix since he makes music so there's that lol. And gauz pads? Sound weird but interesting. And I definitely cant leave home without chapstick so that is for sure coming with me.
My husband brought his laptop and an HDMI cord to hook up to the TV so we could watch Netflix.
A robe, that's all I wore after delivery.
Tank tops were nice if I wanted to walk the halls without feeling like everything was out.
Pj pants. I never leaked my pads. But I felt like my bleeding also wasn't bad.
I brought my own underwear and socks, but didn't use them. I just used the hospitals.
Flips flops, my feet were so swollen from IV that my shoes wouldn't fit
Toiletries
Husband's clothes
My diaper bag, I took so many diapers from the hospital. Every time they fill up the crib, take them out.
I also brought candy for the nurses
Also the hospital I was at provided diapers but not wipes. For wipes they used little gauze pads. Kinda wish I would have known, but they weren't as bad as I thought they might be so we just used those instead of going home and getting our own
Also the hospital I was at had pads of all different sizes so, I didn't have to worry about some being too big or anything like that.
Chapstick!!! When I was getting ready to push I had my husband put some on me. My lips were so dry from breathing through my nose and out through my mouth.
I think that's about it... 🤔🤔🤔
Honestly I felt like i packed the right amount of things.
Oh and if you use pacifiers.. Maybe one of those so they can get used to it unless u use the one like the hospital
u are provided diapers and wipes but I take a few anyway. A few onesies & pjs, going home outfit, beanie if u don't want to wear the hospital one home, socks!, receivinf blanket & blanket.. that little fitted thing for the carseat so his or her head doesn't flop around on the way home 😊 for myself I just take leggings or pj pant and a shirt or two. And a camera if you don't just want to use your phone (bring charger) 😁 that's my list off the top of my head. Enjoy the stay till your sent home 🙂❤
Basics. The hospital provides almost everything you need toiletry wise. I'd take a pair of comfy pajamas for after, and some slippers. Baby going home outfit. Cell phone charger. Chapstick -- my lips got sooo dried out while eating popsicles in labor. Bring your favorite pillow and blanket. An Ipad or something to keep you occupied. The hospital will have baby diapers and pads for you already. Make up if you want to get pretty for pics.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
I'll keep that in mind for any kind of back up. My mother in law is a nurse so we have first aid kits and different medicine EVERYWHERE in the house so I'm sure if we happen to run out of anything we got the gauze pads on deck.
