I’m really hoping I can breastfeed. I’m not even getting colostrum. 😩😩

@eryka616, I’ve been trying. I’m trying to get her on my breast for awhile and then I give her formula

Set up an appointment with a lactation consultant, there’s also a breastfeeding group I can add you to 😊

@caityyy_lynnn, no no no don’t give her formula at all she doesn’t need it her tummy is only like 5ml which is a tablespoon right now. Just keep putting her on your breast. I’m sure she’s getting what she needs

@eryka616, I don’t want to starve her though.. like I’m not producing anything yet and even had a nurse try to get colostrum out and nothing was coming out..

@caityyy_lynnn, hopefully you can get a lactation consultant in there with you but if you think she’s starving then use a syringe to feed her not a bottle and ask about finger feeding. (You put your finger next to the syringe and she sucks the formula out on her own) are they having you pump to try to get colostrum out?

@eryka616, yeah, my nurse brought me an electric one to try to see but we both haven’t gotten anything
