Most places are fairly understanding if you tell them up front that you have a vacation that was pre-planned and cant back out. Just be upfront with them and let them know the situation.

@jedi_mom I don't want to tell them during the interview because I don't want that to cause me not to get the job I want to get hired and work hard then tell them sometime in December but not last minute

If you had preplanned vacation and they were set on hiring ou, they would accommodate you or wait until after to hire you. Absolutely is not a make or break for hiring. If you get hired and spring it on them, they would be more likely to fire you

If you want to risk getting fired or immediately being on bad terms. You want to bring it up during the interview. They won't not hire you just because of that. They will not hire you if you're not a strong candidate and you can't adhere to their scheduling needa

Companies understand you have a life and you more than likely made plans before coming to that interview. They won't be as understanding if you intentionally hid it. They would question what else you're hiding.

I can promise you, if they want you, they'll make the accommodation. Lots of personal expirience with hiring people and being hired with vacation already planned. I have never been turned down due to vacation nor have I ever turned down a strong candidate because they had already made plans.

@bunny713 you should be ok, as long as you let them know about something you've had planned during the interview. Like @eaj8290 said tell them before hand you don't want to spring that on them after the fact. It will not lessen their opinion of you or your chances for the job.

As long as you are upfront about if most planes won’t mind. My last job, I had a planned vacation snd was honest with them about it and they were like, ok no problem, can you start after you get back? I am sure you won’t have s problem.

They usually ask if you need time off in the next few months, tell them you have a 2 week vacation booked.
