So it was my first time using wic checks today for my sons formula and the two people who helped me at jewl were complete dicks about it. Sorry but I'm a single mom and if I can get help I'm gunna take it. It's not easy and I pay for everything myself. Just cause woman use wic it doesn't make them any less a parent, woman or human being. God 😔

This is for your child and no one should ever look down on anyone trying to provide for their child! This makes my stomach turn thinking about how ignorant and fucked up the workers at jewl must have been but try not to let it get to you because people like that really should be pitied more than anything. I mean they must be pretty sorry if they give a mother hell just for trying to provide for and feed her kid!

@inkedsouthernbelle, the dude who opened the formula drawer acted like it was my fault that he didn't know which formula to get. And when I first asked for help he acted like it was such a big inconvenience. And then the check out lady was like , "next time sign the check before because you are holding up my line." And "I personally feel they should stop providing wic for people." Like bitch I really need this. I wasn't able to work during my pregnancy because I was high risk. I had money saved but shit this really helps because I'm currently unemployed trying to find a job and it's hard. I'm just trying to be a good mom and get him the things he needs. Ignorant people.

@jacksmama17, girl don't just shrug that shit off. People like that need to be reported. File a complaint with their manager and go even higher if need be. No one should ever talk to anyone like that especially when they're just trying to provide for their kids.

People need to take action against discrimination like you just experienced and maybe it'll stop those bastards dead in their tracks and prevent it from happening to another mother because something tells me you're not the first they've disrespected and until someone reports them you won't be the last
