@ash621, it was very hard. I just felt like it was time to move on because she only contacted me when she was going through something, and I was always there... but I’m not just a temporary here and there friend, you know?

Do what you have to do for you. It’s really hard though, thinking I may need to do the same with a close friend here soon.

@allison.clower, it was very hard. And the last few texts we exchanged, she still did not understand where I was coming from.. she just couldn’t accept that I was right, she kept blaming me for our friendship fall out.

@domsmama96, I totally get it, I’m the same. It’s so worth it to find a friend who cares as much as you do! In my case, my friend only wants to communicate with me when she has something to brag about and hold over my head...

@domsmama96, I’ve tried my best to tell her. She’ll nod and agree, but nothing really changes. The biggest problem right now is that I’ve found out she’s been spreading gossip at work. Our offices are right next door. She’s put me right in the middle of a few awful situations. Two weeks ago was my breaking point and I was very honest with her about how hurt I was. I thought we were friends but she broke my confidence. She apologized profusely and promised it wouldn’t happen again. I heard some more last week that she’s been talking behind my back. I'm in the same boat. My best friend who has been like my sister the last 18 yrs has changed alot since she got married. We each have our lives and kids but have always made time for each other. But now her husband wants her to have to contact with me and another friends because apparently we are a bad influence. The break g point for me was when she didn't come to my baby shower a couple of wks ago. Didn't even bother to call me or message me. Still haven't heard from her. Every time some arrived I looked wishing it was her. At one point I felt like crying. And she didn't message me for my bday either. She's been like my sister. Always talking. Almost every day. Now I barely know her. I'm due in less than 5 wks and I wonder whether she remembers or cares 😔

@ash621, wow you definitely do not need that kind of person in your life. Cut her out immediately. She sounds like a real pos if she smiles to your face but continues to talk behind your back!

It sucks she is really letting her man call all the shots for her .. you don’t need her in your life if she’s not going to show any interest in you or your babies mama. It’s sad to let go, especially after being friends for so long, trust me I know . But it has to be done sometimes :/ we deserve better people in our lives

I'm sorry, I've been having problems with the only friend that I would go out with she was so excited for the arrival of my baby and now when she comes around I feel like shes bored with us so it's a bummer. Hopefully we can get some good best friends.
