So my boyfriend tells me he'll do anything for me that I ask and I'm trying to get used to the idea…

So my boyfriend tells me he'll do anything for me that I ask and I'm trying to get used to the idea of letting him do more for me instead of trying to be independent all the time... But I've asked him to do a couple things that are a little important and he can't seem to do either of those tasks... I needed him to find a box for me with all my important paperwork in it since he put it somewhere and I've asked him to look for it 3 times now, I'd look for it myself but it's buried in our closet 😩 and then I've also been asking him for weeks now to contact either the gas company or the landlord to get the gas turned on in the apartment since it's constantly freezing now and he still hasn't done that.... Ugh. How am I supposed to rely on him to help me with things when he can't even do 2 small but important tasks for me.
