The actual induction was ok! I was given cirvadil (spelling idk lol) and pitocin. I wasn't dilating so I had a folley ball placed and my contractions were insane. My contractions just on the pitocin were uncomfortable but very bearable!
Also, just try to relax. I know you'll be excited and nervous and every emotion you can feel you'll feel. But try to rest, do calming activities, listen to your body!
I've been induced twice. I HATE pitocin. It makes contractions so strong and painful. Cervadil didn't do much either time. I had an epidural with my second and it didn't work. Had nothing with my first. Went into labor naturally with my 3rd but did c section because we thought she was too big. But wasn't.
I ended up being in labor for 33 hours.🙄 Same as the girl above, the doctor inserted some Cervidil along with Pitocin but the first dose of Cervidil didn’t work so I got another and after that I began to dilate. The contractions were horrible, I gave into an epidural after 24 hours, lol.. as soon as I got the epidural, my delivery was honestly so painless. Being induced isn’t bad, just the contractions that come with it. Walk as much as you can while you’re dilating and definitely bring something to entertain yourself with.
I was induced the contraction felt like I was dying! My in laws heard my screams in the waiting room which is far from the room I was in. Felt like truck kept running over my hips and back over and over. I was in labor for 12 hours. HORRIBLE!!
I was induced. Had the Foley bulb placed in and was pulled out after 3 hours and I was 3 cm dilated. The nurse said that some people scream when the bulb is pulled on but honestly. It was not painful at all. They also broke my water when it was put in.
After that I just had pitocin. It made me contractions close, but I could feel some and not feel others. It really wasn't bad. I slept through the night even with contractions. It all started at like 6pm and by 6am my doctor recommended me to get the epidural because my baby was so high up they wanted my pelvis to relax. So after that I was having the best fucking time. Hahaha. And the nurse that I had just told me every hour or two to help work her into position. My epidural started to wear off when I started to push at 6pm, which I knew was going to happen because my nurse recommend me to not redose so I could feel when to push. Which I was so happy that I did even though it was the most uncomfortable 50 minutes of pushing. I just was positive. You have to be positive. You're having a baby one way or another so you might as well make it a great experience.
