Can I request or ask my ob to do a membrane sweep or membrane stretch or do I have to wait until he brings it up.. And what's it like to get one done

@kaylaberg7777 I'm hoping my ob will even let me have it he won't talk about induction.. He won't talk about the sweeps.. He wouldn't even check to see if I was dilated I had to ask my other doctor. He's weird about baby's cooking the full time and doesn't talk to me about shit..
@slewis1526 The sweep didnt do anything for me my last pregnancy, but I hope it works for you!!!
@kaylaberg7777 thank you for being honest, the dilation checks are rough but if the sweep will help it'll be well worth it
and to add, its VERY uncomfortable!!! If you think getting checked fir dilation is bad, just wait to get swept!

@oliviajohnson0915 mine started me every week at 36 weeks cause I have high blood pressure but they can't seem to agree on a thing.. Your lucky yours are all on the same page
Wow really the office I go to has 6 different doctors but they all seem to be on the same page but around 36 weeks they had me start comming every 2 weeks an at 38 every week until my due date.
@oliviajohnson0915 I have 2 different obs they like swap weeks at the office I'm going to one always disagrees with the other it's so complicated :/ hopefully I can get one to answer cause my next appointment is my last before my due date
I asked mine around 38 weeks and she said they wouldn’t do it until my due date but of course every doctor is different so I would definitely ask.
