Did any mommies wait till the baby was born to find out the gender??? 🤔🤔
Pros? Con's?
@nomli yes!! He was looking at all the organs and said like there's the heart and lungs and all that and I'm just like uhh where??? I saw the baby when he zoomed out. Eyes and nose and arms and hands. But all the organs I had no idea you can tell what organ those fuzzy white blobs are haha
@myfirstbaby97, oh, that was nice. She did, and told us to look away if we didn't want to know.
It's amazing how those techs can discern anything in an ultrasound. It usually looks like a gray static snow screen blob to me.
@nomli my ultrasound tech didn't go over genitals at all so even if someone was in the room they wouldn't have been able to tell. We showed my dad the full side view and he thought the umbilical cord was a penis lol
@myfirstbaby97, exactly! At my 20 week ultrasound my step mom was staring intently at the screen, hoping to figure it out because we weren't going to, but she thought the heart was the brain so I wasn't worried. People will do that anyway...my cousin was in pink everything, ears pierced, big bows, and people still went "What a handsome boy!"
Not at all. The only difference with boys and girl is that with boys you have to make sure to point the penis down, and fold the diaper in.
I still had a baby shower. I just told everyone that yellow and gray and black and blue and brown were colors they could get since those are neutral colors. @nomli I loved how everyone was annoyed too haha. I always told them it's my baby not yours so I don't care if you want to know because me and the baby's father don't so nobody will.
As to being unprepared absolutely not. We had everything ready for the baby everything we bought was gender neutral. The only thing we didn't really have enough of was diapers and wipes. Still to this day people say my son is so cute and I have to correct them with "she's a girl but thanks" because we still don't do a lot of pink or purple or dresses
@myfirstbaby97 lol awesome 😁❤ were waiting to find out with this one, then after he/she is born doing a meet the baby/baby shower. I'm just nervous cuz I feel unprepared
I did!!! I didn't really care, I loved waiting, the nurses were so excited to be the ones to exclaim it as they held him up, and I especially loved how everyone else got so annoyed. I would definitely do it again. I can't say there were any cons. Some might say "you can't buy things if you don't know!!" but I would get gray, green, white, and blue for either, since I'm not a huge fan of pink and I love blue and gray. Babies don't care. I still buy him things in neutral colors because I just like them better.
I did!! We loved it. After the baby was born hubby got excited and told me that we had a baby girl. I was already holding her I just wasn't paying attention to the genitals lol. It was a very fun guessing game the whole pregnancy. I'd say the only con was everyone getting mad that they won't be able to buy the baby anything since they don't know the gender. Like they don't make gender neutral baby stuff lol. I would do it again too if I have another baby
@myfirstbaby97, haha. Heart I could tell, but I had had an ultrasound of my heart a few years earlier and it looked the same. Any of the other organs or innards, nope! The boy had an ultrasound of his abdomen last year, and the techs were like "there's that, there's this" and I'm like....uh, I see a gray blob?
