My husband is wanting to start streaming video games online, in hopes of being able to make a solid income from it 😣
He's super miserable at his job, which makes him come home and make the rest of us miserable too. But gaming already takes up at least 90% of his time away from work, and he's saying he'll have to spend even more time streaming to have any chance of being successful.
So that means I'll go from getting very little help with a toddler, to getting no help with a toddler AND a newborn 😔

@lifewithlynniejade88 it's driving us both insane, haha. When we met he was the assistant GM of a different hotel, and he really enjoyed his job. It sucks because he really likes being in the hospitality business, this particular hotel is just sucking the life out of him.

@lifewithlynniejade88 His owners are very spiteful people, they'd be pissed to find out he was looking elsewhere. It's actually way more stressful than it should be. His situation is a little unique, because his hotel is older and everything isn't running as smoothly as it used to, but the millionaire owners want to pinch their pennies and not fix anything. He's dealing with nightmare bosses, employees, constant complaints from guests about the things his owners won't fix, and hes constantly texting or talking on the phone with employees to fix problems when he's at home. He even gets woken up in the middle of the night and has to drive to the hotel for emergencies. I totally get why he's miserable, and I hate that he has to deal with all of that stress, but I just don't think he's handling it right.
Honestly he'd probably be way happier doing physical labor, haha.

I gotcha! Well they do reference checks for my husband too & he hasn't been fired yet. & Is it that hard of a job? I mean, atleast it's not physical labor. Now that would kill him! 🤔

@lifewithlynniejade88 it's actually pretty likely his company would find out 😕 He's the general manager of a popular hotel, and has worked for the same company his whole career. Any other hotel would definitely want to speak to references before hiring him.
Really he's likely to just stay with this job until it kills him, unless someone just magically offered him something new.

That's not a legit reason to just not apply for other jobs. His company won't find out. My hubby does it & his company has never once found out. Sounds like he's trying to find an easy way out. He needs to just find another job. I know it's hard to tell men what they "need" to do though, so it's ultimately his decision. If his online game thing isn't successful after Maybe a week or two, he will find another "real" job🙏

@stevie.savoie22 I knowww. He was a professional gamer in college, played competitively and paid his way through college by doing it. So he does at least have slightly better chances than most.
But I wish he would just start applying for jobs in his field elsewhere, it's really just the company he works for that's making him so miserable. He's afraid that he'll apply, not get a job, his company will find out he's looking, and fire him.

Honestly, the chances of him making any income from that are pretty slim. He isn't acting like a husband and father. He's acting like a child.
