pitocin vs misoprostol for induction?
Birthing at home is not an option. I am now overdue and induction is scheduled for monday morning if he does not come on his own.
I have allowed a membrane sweep today to try to avoid induction all together. I ate a whole fresh pineapple and a half. I've been doing primrose oil. I went for a long fast walk. Sex is painful as hell so that's out of the question. Anything else i can try (thats safe) to try to avoid an induction?
Ive looked up both but im still unsure if it comes down to that, what one i would choose.
@nerdlove1315 ive been leaking colostrum even without pumping. But yes pumping gets more colostrum out. But my body will continue to make that.
Pitocin doesn't really do anything until you're actually in labor, I would say. The cytotec will actually induce labor. Hopefully anyway. You may even opt to labor naturally after its jumpstarted as sometimes induction can slow your labor. Not much I can safely recommend but try to stay relaxed and baby will start labor when ready.
@cassibrewer doesn't it cause you to leak already?
@cassibrewer aww 😔 are u dilated any
@kiya.love ive been pumping and it causes contractions but nothing more
Squats, TMI but have your spouse suck on your nipple. Why? It's stimulation and opens up cervix.
Today I'm going relax. I'm tired of walking and doing all these thing to try and self induce nothing has worked and my induction is tomorrow. I practically lost all hope that she would come on her own and I would experience a natrual labor. Im emotionally exhausted and physically in pain she is clearly not ready. Now I have to suffer through this stupid induction I just pray I don't need a csection when this is all over. I'm done😔
Opinions on Induction?
So, if my labor keeps stalling (ugh, I'm walking and biking so much it's like I'm training for a marathon) and my sweep tomorrow doesn't work I'll most likely go through with my induction (I'm trying to avoid one).
Can i refuse induction?
Really don't like the negative judgment that comes when you tell people your trying to induce labor 😳😳😳
Of course I don't think it's OK to be trying super early when it's not safe for baby or doing dangerous things to induce but I don't think the judgment is necessary.
😧😧
I started trying to induce this week (I'll be 38 weeks in less than 2 days) and have talked about it on here and Facebook with friends and family. And almost all the responses are negative (thankfully not on here actually but ...
Pitocin; very intense contractions, I’m not sure about the other. I had preeclampsia so I didn’t have a choice on wether or not I wanted to be induced, but if my next pregnancy is a healthy pregnancy I will refuse induction because my induction experience was not good at all.
