Okay, I weighed 106 the day I found out I was pregnant (6 weeks) I currently weigh 128 (will be 32 weeks on Wednesday)…

@babydiehl2016, thousands one way, and thousands the other. What I mean is, inductions have doubled from 1990 to now. Why I think? Because doctors are aware they make 3x as much money if inductions (which are 50% more likely) end in c-section.

What I meant to say to the original poster was: you're good! If there is a serious medical reason, then induction will happen. Your body will do what it needs to do..just like millions of women's have.. and, if not, THEN the doctor will offer help. Having a large baby isn't usually the case. Having gained a lot of wait isn't usually the case. 🙂

But that's just my view!(:

So, this is a hot button topic for me! I'll share what I usually share. 💕

Valid reasons for induction?:

-- Fetal-development issues

-- High blood pressure or preeclampsia

-- Gestational or preexisting diabetes

-- Infection

-- Problems with the placenta Ruptured membranes.

The list can go on and on... but, all are valid medical reasons.

Estimated Due Dates are just that! ESTIMATED. Only 5% of EDD are correct. They can be wrong up to 2 weeks! Mine was! You may think you're 39 weeks, but you may only be 37.

More than 25 percent of infants born electively between 37 and 39 weeks required admission to the NICU for an average of 4.5 days, compared with fewer than 5 percent of infants who were delivered at 39 weeks or later.

Newborns delivered at 37 weeks are 3x more likely to experience respiratory distress syndrome (a severe newborn lung disease), transient tachypnea (rapid breathing), pneumonia, a need for a ventilator, and respiratory failure as babies born between 39 and 40 weeks. At 38 weeks and after the infant in the womb will start to grow "brown” fat around her organs, which will help her to generate heat in the first few weeks of her life.

I just feel like more people need to be aware that so many doctors will offer induction only because they make 3x the amount of money off a surgery (c-section) than off vaginal birth. Don't let them take advantage. Know your body. You can do this! 🙌🏼💕

That's literally just a copy and paste of research I've done. Just talk to your doctor, and really trust them. I had a 9+ pound baby, and carried until one day shy of 42 weeks, and gained 65lbs during pregnancy.

Just remind yourself...for literally thousands of years women have been delivering perfectly fine. You and baby have plenty of time and room! 💕

Baby will grow a lot more in the coming weeks, and you may put on some more weight. The last stretch of pregnancy is the most important part growth wise for baby. Don’t stress! If you’re super worried talk to your doctor, and see what they say:)

You wouldnt be induced :) our bodies can do amazing things!
