So Eli has been eating cereal for about a month now and we're ready to start introducing new foods. I'm making butternut squash for him to try tomorrow. Looking for input - should I give it to him straight or mix it with rice cereal so its a little more familiar?
@kkmamax3 okay thanks. I figure if we do mix it I'd be mixing the cereal with breast milk as usual and then stirring in a swirl of the squash. But I may just go with purely squash. I guess ill decide when I feed him in the morning.
@vward, I mean that’s just what several docs have told me to wait 3 or 4 days. And I mean you can try it. It’s your baby, your choice. I just wouldn’t mix it off the bat cause it might be to thick.
@kkmamax3 just curious.. But what is the reasoning behind that? If he has a reaction ill know it's from the squash since hes been eating rice. And why only 4 days?
Just straight at first. Do same food for 4 days and then switch to a different food.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
@mommy.to.sterling yeah thats how I understood it as well. I was more concerned about helping him transition since its such a big difference from cereal. I'm picky and always have been so I worry that hes going to outright reject things that are too new or different than what he is used to.
