I got one with my first and plan on getting one with this one, and it's numbs you from the waist down so you shouldn't feel any pain while pushing the baby out. It worked for me. Failed for a few people I know.
Yes I would most definitely get it again. My contractions were horrible and I couldn't deal with them. And they had me sit on the side of the bed and kind of arch my back so they could start the process and they will tell you to stay as still as possible so they won't hit anything to cause you to become paralyzed. To me getting the epidural didn't hurt at all. And like 10-15 minutes after I was feeling good, my contractions wasn't bad afterwards. I loved it.
eh i hate pain and i wanted to sleep cause they decided to break my water at 4am but i got it too early and felt everything in the end so i dont know if i would get it again unless my next kid decides to make me go into labor in the late evening like this one did lol
@tieasha, @kimberly.jo.herlinger, I mean I ain’t pregnant yet I’m just asking other women what do they prefer I mean what scares me is when they you have to be still are you gonna be paralyzed if you move that what scares me cause I jump a little each and everytime I even get a shot idk I always been like that but also idk I can’t take pain either really great so idk what I would do if I got pregnant cause I probably couldn’t handle it lol I mean is there any other pain medication to take instead of the back
@xo.purpleroses they gave me other pain meds and because you cant eat anything and hadnt eaten since like 5 o'clock it made me sick to my stomach i still have problems with my back and legs and it will be 2 years december 31st
@kimberly.jo.herlinger, oh wow that’s what makes me mad about guys they say they have it the hardest they actually don’t cause we go through periods labor then pregnancy then there crap on top of it all it pisses me off
I got an epidural work all 6 of my kids. This last kid I had 3 months ago I was already 8-9 cm dilated n it was too late for it. I was pissed off cause I didn't get it n nobody asked me what was my birth plan. It was very bad cause my Drs whole arm was up inside me too without meds too so it was a bad experience for me. I'm pregnant again n I really want the epidural this time. I will beg for it this time.

LOVED my epidural!! Made the experience more enjoyable. I made it to 9cm without one so I got a small dosage
