@5babies, @mommybear95, u both can find out now u only have to be 9 weeks for blood work DNA test. I found out at 11w with my son and this baby I find on Monday and I'm just 10 weeks today.

There is this thing you can buy. They send you a finger prick kit, then you send it off. You gotta be 9 weeks, it takes 5 days and it’s like 75$

@mommybear95, @5babies, it's the genetic testing it test DNA for the y chromosome and it checks for trisomy 13, trisomy 18, and Down syndrome. The gender is just a bonus for the test it can be very expensive depending on your insurance I have blue cross blue shield and the lab billed my ins 13,000 and it didn't cover it but we ended up paying like 200.00 bc our deductible had been met. Most insurances don't cover the test but if your over 35 they pay for it because your considered high risk. Those things cause missing limbs and no chance of life so that's why more OB do it at that age. Call your insurance and also ask your OB what lab they will be using. Mine was the progenity test, but this time I will be getting the panorama but some of the others use the harmony test or verifi test. U could also call the labs yourself and ask what they charge. I'm not sure what the panorama will cost us this time but it doesn't matter bc my husband wants it bc downs is in his family. Here is part of the doc my midwife gave me last week and if u search a very old post of mine I showed the image of the billing I would have to look for that.
