This boy is downing 3 oz every feed...cant help but feel like its too much for his little belly

My dr told me that’s how much my three month old should be eating

@mommysbabies i know. everywhere ive looked it says he should be eating 1.5-2oz each feed but hes never satisfied after 2....

Have you tried pace feeding they will just eat and eat as long as you let them

I think at about 2/3 weeks he was eating 2-3oz every bottle, but at a week it was around 2oz.

He was a 9lb newborn, though.

At a week old his belly is the size of about a walnut. 3 oz is almost the amount of a jar of baby food. Imagine filling a walnut with a jar of baby food......it would overflow. Pace feed or else his belly will stretch.

@arivera64 yea im aware. he hasnt had an upset stomach or ever spit up but like i said ik its too much. ill look into the pace feeding

@mommysbabies really ? ive always heard they wont eat after theyre full...even when i let him nurse it seems like he takes in a lot but obvi theres no way for me to know how much when he nurses

My daughter too. I asked and the nurse and doctors said FEED YOUR BABY so Idk 🤷🏾‍♀️

My baby is too. I tried her put with 4ozs and she left just a pinch in the bottle not to mention I breast feeding as well

We’ve been on 4 oz since about 2 weeks. My dr said feed him as much as he wants to eat as often as he wants to eat.
