Does anyone experience pain on their right side when laying down? On my left, I don't feel a thing, but when I try to turn to lay on my right I start to experience a sharp pain - feels tender. Is this a red flag or normal? Almost feels like it's my kidney. Sometimes when I press on that side even when sitting or standing, it feels slightly tender. I had a UTI at 18 weeks that was treated and when I had another urine test, everything was clear. So I don't THINK I have a uti anymore. I'm now 25+4 weeks. Any thoughts?

That's normal, I'm a medic and we always lay pregnant woman on their left, especially later on. It's cuz we have a main artery on our right side and the extra weight when we are prego is painful and causes poor circulation. Same if you lay flat on your back.

This makes sense. I've been laying on my right a lot as that's what was initially comfortable but baby has definitely gotten heavier in the last 2 weeks and now I'm sure feeling it!
Left side it is from now on. I find myself waking up on my back and don't feel any discomfort but I usually turn straight to my left once I notice that.

I had my Gynaecologist's appointment yesterday and he asked me if I experienced pain in my right side!! I said yes n he said its quite normal and don't worry about that. You will experience this pain until the baby is fully grown inside the womb...!! So don't worry

Thank you so much for your replies. Definitely provided some relief! I was a little worried about what this pain meant. It's still a little tender when I press on it but nothing excruciating, and mainly noticeable when laying down. 14 more weeks to go!!!
