How Long Can a 5-Month-Old Scream During Nap Time?

Girl my daughter just started sleeping through the night && she'll be 10 months old this week. The cry it out method worked splendidly.

@mrsgoulding I do. Twice. It's literally her not wanting to sleep. She'll rub her eyes and be obviously sleepy. Then realizes it's nap time and throw a fit. Bed time is even worse. It takes both me and her daddy to get her down

@juliaschade41 at almost five months I think a little self soothing is fine. I hate it with a passion. But it's the only thing I can do right now. She's been going through a four month sleep regression.

@believeinbuddha it takes my daughter fifteen minutes. I feel that's too long. I wish I could hold her constantly. I love the cuddles. But I've got a lot to do lately.

@maesmommy04 yeah my daughter makes me hold her constantly. Its exhausting. But I like the cuddles. When all else fails tho I let her cry for like 10 minutes then she passes out

@believeinbuddha I didn't even start letting her cry it out until a week or so into this sleep regression. I'm at a loss.

@believeinbuddha I was rocking her cradle and talking to her he whole time. She just finally gave it up and went to sleep. I hate letting her cry.

@mrsgoulding I hate the cry it out method. But she's refusing sleep. Even cuddled in my bed. Which she can't do right now anyways. She's almost five months. I thought the sleep regression would be ending by now. And I never left her side while she was crying.

I only let them scream for about that long at that age. Any longer and its not self soothing anymore its ignoring them. Hold her and rock with her and sing. My gramma had to put me to bed like that every night for years.

@juliaschade41 I've been sitting here rocking her cradle. I can't hold her to sleep or she'll wake up the moment I try to put her down.

Did you try rocking her or just holding her?
