So I work at a restaurant/bar. And I was told it's technically "illegal" to store my breast milk in the kitchen fridge. But we have no employee fridge. So I had to go buy a mini cooler from Walmart. And I have to pump in the bathroom because that's the only semi private area with an outlet. Should I be pissed or just make due with what I've been given? (BTW I have to stand up and pump because the outlet is in a tight spot)

They are totally violating rights though with not having a clean area for you to pump , the bathroom definitely is not even sanitary

It’s not illegal it just anything not restaurant related in the fridges is against Health department rules ect. It has to be stored in another container in the fridge . Same as if someone bought in lunch ect .

That's illegal. Look up your breastfeeding rights in your state and present them to your employer!

@damiensmommy1117 I live in GA. I'm gonna find out. I didn't want to say anything because I didn't have facts

I would be pissed about the fridge. Idk where you live, but here they are required to have a designated refrigerator or at least shelf in a refrigerator for employees.
