Has anyone...EVER gotten a letter from the department of health stating the baby could have congenital hypothyroidism?? I’m freaking out....I’ve been crying my eyes out all day!! And now I have to go to my pediatrician tomorrow at 9:30 am and she needs blood drawn??? SMH how do they even draw blood from a two week old? Please moms I’m so desperate to hear what to expect.
Pic for attention
For her because she’s so little they’re use a butterfly needle it’s the smallest needle ever and it will probably be in her hand 😓
@snarfyk, thank you for your response I appreciate it I hope your baby is okay as well. This is a terrible feeling
@mommyface Yes. I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis so they wanted to check her for that at the same time.
@mommyface My daughter just went through this process when she was two weeks, she's six wks tomorrow. They drew six vials of blood via a butterfly needle in her arm. She didn't cry, just looked at the three techs it took to draw the blood. Make sure they get what they need the first time so you don't have to return. Good luck and I'm sorry your peanut had to go through this.
I'm no help but I wanted to say she is so gorgeous!! Congratulations! :D
She’s only three weeks are you sure I think they take it from the heel
