So i don't know if im being selfish or not but you guys tell me. A few months ago i said i was going to do my son's second birthday as Woody theme from toy story but just woody. But then my son started liking Thomas the train so i decided to change the theme and said i would do the woody theme for his 3rd bday instead. I had already shown my sis in law some things i had in mind for the woody theme before i changed it. She has her son who is only a month older than my son and at first she said she was going to do the Good Dinosaur theme but now she decided to do "toy story" theme but everything she is planning on doing is just "woody." She's going to decor just like how i was going to do it. She says its toy story but i don't think so. Now i feel like i cant do woody next year because its going to look like i copied her. Am i being selfish for being a little bothered by this? I feel like she is just telling me its going ro be toy story theme because she knows i wanted to do woody next year. This is probably stupid and just my hormones that haven't gone back to their normal selfs.

Why are you worried about other people thinking you copied her? I mean we are adults right? Who cares if she was inspired by your idea and decided to do it first. This just gives you an opportunity to see what she does and make yours better 😂😜

I don’t think you’re stupid or selfish for feeling this way. This is why I never tell anyone my ideas. I had a brother in law just like that. But we don’t talk anymore.

Not selfish but like a previous comment said make yours better next year. You'll have a whole year to get ideas.
Plus I know the feeling. My son had really long hair. And for a long time one cousin would always make comments that he needed a haircut, we needed to shave it, he looked like a girl etc. Guess who now has a son with long hair.

I think its natural to feel that way. I know I would lol. Your son might be into something else by that point and you might want to change it to what he likes at that moment. You could always research other ideas on pinterest later on. But I would still keep the woody theme as an option.
