So this baby girl is gonna be HUGE. 36 weeks tomorrow and they say she's measuring 9 lbs and 11oz...gee thanks a lot diabetes and genetics, I really preciate ya! Say she's gonna be 11 almost 12 lbs at birth....Lordt hep me!!
I suppose though there is a plus side to all of this, I figure 9 lbs 11 oz is close enough to 10 lbs, and placenta and fluid and all that is probably somewhere between 5 and 10lbs...and I'm only 18lbs heavier than before I found out I was pregnant, so all in all ive not really gained any weight lol
@boymom_ im scared either way lol! But I am a tiny bit disappointed because I had been preparing myself mentally to have a 100% natural birth, no meds and vaginally, but me pre- planning stuff has literally NEVER worked out lol
@tayler this hospital and doctors don't like to induce just because of size if everything else shows baby is healthy, only if there is serious health risk to mom or baby is in distress. And when they figure the weight by measurements its honestly only a really good guess. My nieces mom was told my niece was gonna be 10lbs+ and she was only a bit over 7. They wanna make sure she is developed as much as possible, ya know lungs and all that.
I'm surprised they won't induce you. I know alot of women who have been induced because the baby is getting too big. It could be different for every state though.
Try not to stress it, I've heard alot of docs tell women our babies are way bigger then they ever actually come out lol. Then again u never know he could be right! they told me my 1st was gonna be 10+ and he was only 7.3, they talked about c section even, I was like uh no.. let's try vaginal in case your wrong! I would have been furious!!
@jdgregg Definitely understandable!
