With this being my first child I’m soooooo nervous about labor !!! I’m scared of needles , is the epidural that bad ??? Ughhh or can I get pain meds in a IV ? I’m
Sooooo nervous 😞😞
@kyla_marie, no problem! Some people compare contractions to period cramps but 1000x worse but to me they didn't feel like that lol everyone's different tho. But yea I'd be lying if I said it didn't hurt, a lotish lol but there's ways of managing but if you can't take it don't be scared to get epidural 😊 and you're 20 weeks so you still have time but definitely stay active! Always try to get walks in every day . I worked 40hrs a week up until I was 38 weeks & I had her at 39 + 2 & my labor went by fast . Also red raspberry tea leaf! Helps strengthen your uterus, start drinking that once you're at 35 weeks . at least 2x a day. I think that helped me too
@karinecastrejon, yea , cramps kill me man but I had kidney stones before and the doctor told me that passing those feels about the same as having a baby natural in labor ! && that pain was so serious ! But yesss that’s so much , I need somebody to let me know it’s gonna be okay and u are that person that did ! Thank u
@kyla_marie, I know I was so nervous too but once my water broke and contractions started I was just like oh crap 😣😳 everyone's labor experience is different. I tried lasting as long as I could without getting the epidural . Contractions suck and are painful as heck but it's true when they tell you to breath through them. It helps a lot. Close your eyes and focus on breathing and make sure no one is talking to you & you too don't talk well cause for me others talking made it worse lol don't worry tho you'll be fine, and before you know it you'll be holding the most precious gift ever in your arms ☺️💓💕
iv meds make you feel amazing and sleepy but it only works for 20 mins and you can only get it once an hour. I got the epidural after a few times of getting iv meds & I just felt a quick pinch from the numbing shot and after that I didn't feel the actual epidural needle going in at all. & once it kicked in it was amazing I couldn't feel anything. I could still slightly move my legs, they just felt tingly/numb like when it falls asleep lol don't worry you'll be fine 🙂
Girl you’ll do fine you’ll need an iv anyway you can get meds there they’ll help if you’re not good with pain let them know they’ll take care of you and let you know what options you have
Yes you can get meds through an IV! I had a csection so idk about an epidural. But a spinal isn't bad at all, idk if they're close or not. You'll do great!
