The receiving blanket goes around babies head but not under it like the head supports

You can pull her shirt or onsie up and under the straps that way they are not on her neck. And yes I would read your car seat manual if it did not come with straps but if you bought after market ones i would remove them @morganmommy79

@kmharr3, it said something about the head support may push the head too far or something but in the pic the blankets were kinda doing the same thing. It just looked like the same thing to me.
I bought belt covers for hers. If it's unsafe I'll remove them but the belt always leaves red lines on her neck no matter how I adjust it. I would get a new seat but can't afford a new one. I feel bad for her but I'm real anal about her safety. Lol
My husband has a thing or two to learn about this. He's always like it's ok, let's go.

Head supports go around the straps where as receiving blankets do not. Also unauthorized head supports can push babies head forward and block the airway @morganmommy79

I understand the severity for sure. But one thing I don't understand is how receiving blankets are ok but not head supports. Kinda does the same thing doesn't it?
