Is my doctors office the only office that emails you your ultrasound pictures? We don’t get them on thermal paper…

@mommykai, yup. Lol. I go to Magee as well. I had my first ultrasound appointment at an upmc imaging place in Monroeville and they still print them

the first one i got on paper anything after i had to download

@mommykai, oh, wow the only ones I got have even my husbands social on them. There's a lot of information on the sonograms here, I guess they're making them a lot more private back home these days.

@sweetpea6, that would be awesome and yeah I’m in MFM too for a high risk pregnancy. Kinda sucks & I really don’t like Magee so I’ll definitely be changing

@mommykai, but when they print out your pictures all the info is on them anyways?? That's so dumb, a baby is on the screen why would you film a nurse? 🙄😂 Doesn't make sense, seems like they're just being snotty for no reason.

@mommykai im a Forbes patient but im high risk so i have to go to fetal Maternal Medicine at West Penn also so who knows maybe I'll run into you one day yeah I think will be nice that they still give you a picture to you know cuz like you said some people don't have access to the internet or email but I usually mine in the frame right away so I usually don't have a problem with mine fading

@ayyedanniie, idk I guess because all your information is up in the board and then some nurses think they’re “In the camera” and you’re not suppose to film them. But seriously, nobody is looking at them

@mommykai, really?! That's so weird how things are done differently depending on where you are. I'm gonna have to look that up now cause I'm curious what problems there are with a few pictures.

@sweetpea6, I mean I guess it’s cool because eventually the thermal paper fades and you can keep the pictures in your e-mail forever but for people who don’t have an e-mail address or internet access what would they do? I’m thinking about switching to West Penn

@mommykai yea i go to Forbes now used to go yo magee but my sis still goes there and dhe ssud about tge email thats so sad thry dnt give you a picture now

@ayyedanniie, awwwe that sucks! Well at least they’ll let you take pictures on your phone. If you try that here they’re blocking the screen and saying hippa prohibits it 🤦🏽‍♀️

@mommykai, I live on a military base overseas so they don't really have the ultrasound machines that print out pictures sadly.

@damiensmommy1117, well here if you bring a blank disc they’ll record the whole ultrasound appointment for you but they still give you pictures although we have to print them on our own. Or we can e-mail them, post them, text them out

@sweetpea6, I sure do but they said all UPMC hospital do them that way now. The first time I went to mercy and they emailed them to me too

I have to take pictures of the screen from my phone when I go. 😭

We got them on a disc once and we had to pay to print them at Walmart. I was annoyed.
