So this is for the mommies out there who have children who go to school. My daughter isnt a big fan of the word NO. Like most kids her age of course... She throws the tantrumsat home, begs over and over when u tell her she cant do something. Soon to be 5 years old, my daughter recently started attending school. Pre K. She only been there 2 weeks and im now starting to get the complaints from her teacher. And accorsing to the teacher, my kid has been acting out since day 1. The first talk was 3 days ago and its been everyday since then. And everyday it seems to be getting worse. No fighting or hitting. But im hearing that my daughter just wants to run around and do what ever she wants. She just doesnt want to listen to any of the adult figures at school. She got some little boy in trouble cuz she was encouraging him and other students to run around the lunch area and climb underneath the lunch tables. They ask her to stop ✋ and sit down with the rest of her classmates and she refuses. This behavior isnt news. I know my kid isnt the greatest most well behaved kid on the planet. But its still a little embarrassing to be constantly getting these bad reviews on her everytime i pick her up. ive talked to her numerous times in many different ways. At this point i just dont know what to say or do. Im very much against evaluating my kid to see if "she needs to be medicated". Medication is not an option im comfortable with. If anyone has been thru anything similar I'd love to hear how u got thru it. Anything for some hope. Not knowing how to help my kid isnt a great feeling.

@vsainz21, I know how that is I used to live with family. I’d honestly just tell them to respect how you parent your children or they’ll have very limited contact with your daughters.

@eryka616 ill definitely try the diet thing. One thing i did mention to her teacher is that we struggle here at home with my child the same ways the teacher does at school. A lot of it has to do with me living with grandparents. They sneak my kid junk just to satisfy her and its always caused problems with me and my family. When she does something wrong and i try to explain to my kid what she did and why its not ok... Her grandparents run to the rescue and make it seem like her bad behavior is ok.

Thats what i was telling her dad. That i feel like till we can control the issue at home is when she should be ready to listen at school. Last thing i wanna do is pull her out of school but i also dont want to have to burden the teacher and complicate her day due to my wild child.

I definitely don’t believe children should be medicated but if she does have something like adhd or even if she’s just a really hyper kid part of it could be her diet. Do you eat a lot of sugary foods or junk food or a lot of bread and pasta? Try cutting down on those things. I know it’s hard but even just a little could help. I think way too many kids are diagnosed with things they don’t have just because they “act out”. Your daughter is just more spirited lol.

I've worked with kids like that . and truth be told its just some kids aren't ready for school . until you fix the problem at home it will be hard to fix it at school.

Idk what to do. My daughter is excited to go to school each day but when she’s actually in school she’s giving the teachers such a hard time. She is constantly running out of the classroom, throws tantrums, tells the teacher no & refuses to do any work. I’m really trying to hold off on pulling her back out but I have no idea what to do. I’ve talk to her several times, I’ve taken all of her toys away, took tv time away, told her she can’t play with her siblings yet she’s still doing what she wants in school.. this is day 3 and she is reckless. I know she needs to adjust but I’m afraid this will be a on going thing 😕. I’ve requested to put her in a smaller classroom setting with more teachers, she also has an IEP so I’m thinking she needs the extra support & im hoping this works.

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!

So my daughter flip out at school today because she has 4 kids in her class that keeps messing with her well today the teacher left them alone for a few minutes until the other teacher came in and so while the teacher was out the little girl decided to pick at my daughter and she told her to shut up and my daughter said she didn't have too so when the teacher came in the little girl tired to cover herself by saying that my daughter told her to shut up and my daughter said she didn't and got mad because the girl lied on her and so the teacher told my daughter to go in the hall a cool off but the girl followed her and got in her face and shoved her in her face the teacher said they will handle it Monday and my daughter pushed her off her and they started to fight and they were holding my daughter back would you keep your children there or take them out of the school since they don't feel safe and the school isn't handling it like they said
