Is it normal to spot after having your cervix checked for dilation? I had the exam in the morning and didn't start spotting until nighttime. I'm 1cm dilated and 80% effaced.

Any bleeding call your doctor ASAP!! Take no risks!! That’s what my doctor says don’t be googling things like that, every pregnancy is different. Keep me posted good luck

Usually it's pretty normal especially if it was a very uncomfortable check. But if you are concerned calling can never hurt. Especially if you keep spotting and it's heavy.

It's normal after a check but that's a pretty big time difference. I'd call and ask about it for sure!
