@babyofmine, my shower was a shit show because of mine. We don’t talk about it because it’s still an issue.

@mswedes, oh no my mil won’t buy him anything unless I say my mom got him clothes or a toy then she’ll go and try to out do my mom .. she even tried to do that for my baby shower his sister told me my mil didn’t want to throw me one but when I told them my mom was throwing him my mil threw a fit and said I wanted to and did it and of course it was the day before I got induced

@babyofmine, my mother in law tries to buy him everything. It’s actually annoying. We don’t even have a house and I know we’re out of space to store things. She obsessed with him having certain things that I just don’t care for. She disregards everything I say about how I want him raised. I want him to be humble. He isn’t lacking anything he needs but some of the stuff is just ridiculous

@mswedes, I’m over it too like they have all the criticism in the world but don’t buy him diapers or formula they’re just grandparents and that’s it

@babyofmine, I’m barely working because I worked daycare and know some of the people they hire and severely under qualified. My mother in law said she’d watch him on the days I work but that never happened which I’m pretty ok with. He just comes with me. I’m over it. Btw his sister and her bf also live here with their two dogs. Im just over it.

@mswedes, omg wer literally in the same boat we live with them too trying to find a place it’s just hard cause I’m not working right now I’m going to school n home with the baby and he’s working n going to school .. she gives me shit too because she says I’m lazy cause I don’t work like okay I don’t trust strangers to babysit not st all especially with the horror stories happening lately in daycares

@babyofmine, it’s such bullshit. I live with my in laws right now while we’re house hunting and my MIL told my husband that he was rude and disrespectful because he told her not to go into our bedroom. 1) we’re married. Respect our privacy. 2) if he’s rude and disrespectful it’s based on how she raised him so maybe she shouldn’t apply the same parenting to my child because she obviously didn’t do it all perfectly. 🤷🏽‍♀️just saying.

@babyofmine, my mother in law likes the say “I raised 3 kids. I know what I’m doing!” My husband said “but he’s our kid!” And she got so offended and acts like a child about it. I want to say “you did it your way when it was your turn. It’s my turn to do it my way”

@beebaby, they’re jerks I swear they do it to piss us off this is one of the main reasons we don’t let his family babysit while we’re in school because they do shit behind our backs they always do it when we’re not looking he’s only 4 months he’s only taking formula now and they’ve been trying to give him water since I brought him home
