So I found out my baby's gender today and finally took the leap to post it on Facebook. This is the picture I used to announce it. Representing me, my daughter, and the little one I'm carrying. Baby is a boy! I just knew it and I was right. My sweet Gryffon Alexander. Now I have to try and think of some affordable nursery themes. My budget can't go much more than Wal-Mart prices but I love themes that are uncommon or unusual but with my budget I fear I will be limited to basic stuff. Anyone know of some somewhat cheap nursery item themes? My theme for my daughter was giraffes because that was her nickname before she was born. My ex sort of lead to me choosing it because he called her baby giraffe because he thought she would have freckles like me. So far she doesn't but it was a cute theme that Wal-Mart happens to have.

@maxx, I honestly wouldn't pick a theme. U don't need extra beefing etc it's actually unsafe for baby. We went with a sleek look and some people would ask why so simple I always said less is more and once it was all done it was beautiful. We have a white crib, white sheets white dust ruffle and that's it for bed my step mom made a dallas Cowboys rag quilt and it hung on the bed when he was nb but by 2m I had to move it for safety. We painted all his walls crisp white and one grey wall and behind his crib is recycled cedar lumber it's beautiful. They I bought metal letter of his name my husband made some easy bookshelfs and we bought a glider ottoman in gray with white piping. His dresser was painted white with ombré grey drawers. Then for my gifts I asked for everything navy. So his throw blankets for rocker and swaddle blanket in a basket and I spray paint the basket navy changing pad navy. It came together nice. My husband wanted a dallas Cowboys nursery I said no but we have a good compromise bc the color and accessories but it don't really have a theme. Don't over spend are u on pinterest?

@rikki.ferguson, she could just do Red and black check with recycled wood baskets and maybe a large log for a small table that's a cute theme
