Your doctor needs to clear you. Not because you're fertile but because you're at risk for infection.

If you don't want to risk infection or pregnancy, it's better to wait.

If you are healed you can. The reason doctors say you can't for 6 weeks is because you are really fertile. You should be healed up after 2 weeks. So it should be ok
