My mum thinks I'm being daft by not wanting her in the labor room with me. I only want my husband there! She's too negative so I think that'll make things worse for me! Any one else only having their partner in with them? 💚
I only had my partner and will do the same next time (if we manage to find a reliable enough baby sitter for my daughter). I'd literally rather go alone than with my mum!
If anything goes slightly wrong it shows on my mum's face! She's always worried and thinks the worst about everything. So I don't think having her there with me will help lol xxx
I had my mum and my husband first time round, 2nd time round I only had my husband. My mum's is a very direct person so first time round I felt like she helped because when I got to the point where i felt like I couldn't so it anymore she said "tough luck your too late now so push and get my grand daughter out " which actually helped lol. 2nd time we knew what to expect so we were both prepared a bit more. It's completely up to you though.
I only had my husband! There's no way I'd have anyone else there! I think my mum was a bit annoyed but we don't have the best relationship anyway so don't know what she expected! It's the biggest moment of yours and hubbys lives so do what you're comfortable with! Xx
I only wanted my partner in with me but he was crap and I needed support an someone to hold so I asked the midwife to ring my mum an she was amazing so much better than my partner but everyone's partners are different xx @sarahhutchinson68
Just having my partner it should be special for you two without anyone else :) do what will make you happy! She will get her baby snuggles once you and your husband have had yours xx
I only had my partner in, my Mum was upset about it but I just spoke to her way in advance and said I’m sorry but it’s my family time that I want to remember and it was the best decision I made because it was such a special moment for us both to share together x
