Alright well the church said to change my sons godmother...the easiest and quickest way is to have the original god mother write a letter just giving the position up...well I messaged the bitch and she acts like that maybe one day she is going to end up in my sons life again...ummmm no and she refuses to write the letter so now I have to go to the church and explain in DETAIL on why I need his godmother changed 🙄🙄 well nothing that is going to effect me but she’s going to regret letting me tell hers and my church about how big of a skank she is and breaking up a family lol

@sharonpaige13, but doesn't the godmother have no legal rights? If your worried if something really was to happen to you who would care for your child why don't u get a legalized document to easy your worries and forget about everything that's happen

@txyogagirl, that’s not what I am worried about lol even though I had a baby out of wed lock I am very religious! I have a great relationship with my godmother and she is there for me...no they do not have any legal rights...but they should always want to be there for their god child! I do not want my son growing up with out a god mother it’s not fair to him

@sharonpaige13, not sounding mean just curious bc I don't know. 🤔The point of godparents is for them to care for ur child if your life should end or if you were unable to care for the child right?? That was the reason for my statement above. I mean if there is nothing legal about it how will ur child even know if u change his godmother now. He don't have to grow up without one u can continue on with your new godmother for ur son. Also u said godparents should want to b there for the child and u sound right they probably should want to but unfortunately nobody is going to b a mother or godmother better to your child than you can be that's just the way it is in life.

@txyogagirl, right that’s what I want to do is to give him a new one but there is a paper stating with the church that she is the god parent so to the church and everything else she is in his life and I need that changed and have to go through a ton of work for it

@sharonpaige13, do u plan to attend that church forever I would just state your situation to the church and if they don't understand than you should really consider if that's the right place for your family bc it seems like Christian people would understand that things happen and sometimes it just don't work out the way it's planned

@txyogagirl, that’s what I have to do it would of been just easier if she wrote the letter! Yes I plan on attending this church forever because it’s the one I grew up with! They’ll understand I just wanted the process not to take that long
