Has anyone ever used these? And if so are they accurate.. This was before tylenol and now her fever is still 100.4.. On the picture its at 102 the only reaon why it looks darker is because as it gets higher the color gets darker.. Wish i had a better picture but my daughter isnt going for it
@allycm yeah I.would.take her to the Dr. My daughter was like that fever constantly raising and had diarrhea ,no.appetite ,didn't even want to drink anything and she had salmonella
@leann.harris the nurses hotline told me i should have already brought her in to be seen.. Kinda made me feel worse but ive been trying to but her father didnt want to make a "pointless trip"
Their is a virus going around in kids lately, my daughter just got over it. It's one of those one or two day virus's her temp rose to 103 I had to take her to the er and get her fluids and working medication .
But all you can really do is make her comfortable and let her sweat it out while keeping fluids and meds in her. They do recommend you switch from Motrin to Tylenol back and fourth every 6 hours . Not sure why but they do
@allycm you got everything covered really. I wouldn't put a cold towel or anything on her since her temp is rising. Also,I use suppositories I don't use the liquid Tylenol.if all else fails take her to the e.r. so they see what's actually going on and the shot they give works wonders
@momof42 i have to hold her down to take her temp.. Its terrible and she sleeps naked only a diaper and no cover cause she wont keep it on her. We have tried liquids but she mainly only wants milk.
@allycm yeah they say the one that brushes across the forehead isn't really accurate. I usually just use a regular ole digital thermometer and stick it under my.kids.arm.
@momof42 not sure my mom got it for me bc my daughter doesnt like the other thermometers. Although i have tried one that just brushes across the forehead
