@noahs.mommy, we are in California but she’s in Nevada. We live about 45 minutes. When we were able to have him. We did 50/50. We would pick him up and drop him off. Then she would quit letting us see him. And me and my step son were very close. She will only let my boyfriend see every couple months or so. I’ve tried to set up a day and she’ll only respond we will see.

In California you get welfare for 4 years. If you get a job they deduct what they give you, if you make TOO much then they cut you off completely but they won’t just kick her off. They definitely don’t do that to people. She’s probably not reporting her exact child support to her welfare worker and if getting away with receiving welfare and child support. I’m on welfare, I get cash aid and I notified them that my sons dad pays child support TO ME. Because I get welfare though he will have to pay child support to the state and I’ll get part of the check. That’s how it is here though.
