I didn't have an epidural but the hospital put pain meds in my iv. It helped a lot, I didn't really remember much of the delivery though, it was pretty quick for me

They numb you before the epidural, plus way better than natural birth (:

They had to use a vacuum on me though because his heartbeat was messing up or something, but he's great now! Trust me the time will fly

@kaliarosealindadupree im a teen mommy too. 😊 you really dont even notice the epidural...the contra tions are the worst part and the epidural makes them go away! Really you just feel a lottt of pressure after the epidural. You can message me if you want. 😊

I got the epidural and it was put in the wrong place and i spent my sons frst two weeks in the hopsital with extreme pain! The pain was so bad i couldnt lift my head wirh out screaming in pain and crying. Turns out i had a spinal fluid headache. Pretty much that means my brain didnt have enough fluid so my brain was bouncing around my head. So did the epidural take away pain for labor yes but eight after wards i was in horrible pain and missed my sons frst two weeks. So would i ger it again? Not in a million years! This is somethng they didnt even worn me about.

Ihave five kids i got the epidural for all and thats because why suffer pain when they have med for it for my last three i did go as far as i could as far as taking the pain before asking for it hoping i can go natural but i couldnt i havent had any bad expiriance a bit back pain but it goes away

The epidural was God sent for me🙌🏼 didnt hurt, I didnt even feel it. (All I felt was pressure) the contractions were so bad that the epidural didnt hurt. The IV hurt me more than expected. I recommend not looking at the epidural needle. Just cover ur eyes when the anesthesiologist comes in 🙈 the guy that does the epidural.

Had epidural at the beginning of labor for my first, it was a breezy labor honestly lol. They did give me a second dose when the first dose was starting to wear off and after labor I had a hard time walking and getting up when the epidural was starting to wear off. But no problems afterwards when going home. For my second I held out for as long as I could but ended up surrendering to the pain and got the epidural at 8cm dilated. And recovery afterwards was surprisingly really fast. The contractions will hurt, not even gonna lie.. but if you can’t handle it, epidural is a heaven sent. This pregnancy I am going to attempt natural without epidural but we’ll see lol. Good luck 💛

They gave me meds to calm the contractions and I puked it all up. Then I opted for the epidural and it was the best decision I ever made. I couldn’t feel any of the contractions and I was able to nap a little before pushing since I was so relaxed. It also made it so I couldn’t feel him come out. It was so easy and so fast. It didn’t hurt getting done. The only thing that hurt was the contraction that was happening while he was doing it
