I need more advice on tummy time! Ava is 2 months old and hates it so much and hasn't progressed with moving her head. Her neck is strong but she doesn't look up when on her tummy she just screams into the surface she's on. She hates it so much the second she has pressure on her chest (actually laying on her tummy) she freaks out. Someone help!

I hate my generation sometimes ? Today was my nieces baby shower, which went great. She got so much which amazing since she's been working 2 jobs trying to save up for the unpaid leave she'll have to take from work. Anyways I was talking to one of the ladies there since my son and her daughter were playing together. I asked her what her daughters name was, she said it was Layla. I told her that's a really pretty name and asked her if she was a Clapton fan and if she was named after the song. This girl had no idea who Eric Clapton is. ? ♀ One of the most iconic songs, and she had no idea. I hate my generation. ?
So lemme get this straight ML is made at @aliciaandray because she referred to her n her dude as colored?????? Yet she has a different shade as well so she in the coloring box too so what's the problem did she call y'all kids colored or anything??? I'm confused as to y so many ppl care low key
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

@avasmommy808, don't rush it she is still little if she don't like it wait till she is bigger and even then only do one min and when she cries help her roll over. My son never did it much and he didn't roll over much either like other babies his age but he sat up couple days shy of 6 months crawled at 7 and walked at 9 I say let them b little when I see a baby his age 13m not walking I'm jealous bc I wish he wasn't so big boy as he is . Don't make her do something just bc it's common with other babies like the other lady says they have a mind of their own

Mine hated tummy time til around 4 months when he learned to roll. Then he loved it. And he's hit every milestone.

Have you tried one of those little pillows that you can put under her armpits to prop her up a bit? We got one with our tummy time mat but I rarely used it.

@damiensmommy1117 yes I've tried that but she cries with her face buried on me
@momofdeuce the pediatrician highly recommended tummy time for her chest and arm muscles (to push herself up) so I've been trying everything. She doesn't last 5 minutes (sometimes less) before she screams

Some babies just don't like it. My first son hated it . so I just did it for a minute or however long he would last. As he got older he would just roll over as soon as he could . it gets better for them as they're able to do more

Have you tried laying her on her stomach on your stomach/chest? That was the only way my aunt could get her youngest to do tummy time in the beginning.
