Just had our anomaly scan and the baby is measuring 1 weeks smaller than he should be. Did anyone else have this? What weight were they born with in the end?

@mollysmith oh right! I think it is a little smaller than average, but still considered normal. Did someone measuring small give birth to a baby that length? Do you remember what the weight was? Was it a boy or a girl?

@kerrydavidson6 yes, you are right! I'm.seeing my midwife on Halloween, will ask her then, but I doubt they will give me an extra scan. My 12 week screening didn't come back brilliant and they refused to to a quad test :(
@kate_smith Yes hun they are fairly accurate, and no hun you don't need to be worried! If you are speak with your midwife and she may be able to get you a growth scan! He will be just fine, as long as he is healthy and still growing, He will be okay! I've been told my Son will be between 4 and 6lbs hun. Xx They aren't always right, they can only estimate! Xx
@kerrydavidson6 so that means they were fairly accurate with the weight estimation? I was hoping that maybe they just made a mistake :) they relative measurements will always be accurate I guess, and his head is smaller than his tummy :/ but then again my daughter was the same and she turned out fine, I shouldn't have been worried :)
@louise.leitchman yes, you are right! I think he might actually be going through a growth spurt just now, I have started feeling the kicks a wee bit better and have had some round ligament pain!
@babycakes88 so was my daughter (#1), and she was born big too. I was quite happy about that though, the midwife kept telling me how good it is for the baby to be on the big side. Which is why I got a bit upset this time :(
My daughter was always over and she weighed 10ibs 4 think it’s fine
Don’t worry about it my 28 week check up I was measuring 29 weeks then when I went for my next check up at 31 baby was

My Son who I'm 30 weeks+ with is measuring small too hun. At my 29 week check up He was measuring 2 weeks behind and weighed 2 lbs! Got another growth scan at 32 weeks then 36 weeks xx But when I was pregnant with my Daughter they said she would be around 6lbs something and she was 5lbs 13+1/2 oz xxx
@mollysmith is that the prediction of how big he is going to be? If that's how big he is now, you'll have a big one :)
