Anyone else's doctor trying to induce you around 38 to 39 weeks? Mine is. And idk how to feel. Mixed emotions cause I want him to come when he wants but she's afraid he will be huge? She said I'm measuring around 40 weeks already. I'll be 38 weeks on Friday. Need help. Has this happend to you?? Did your baby come out healthy?? I want to deliver him vaginally though.
@zachattackmomma yeah they definitely use a scare tactic. Either way in the long run if I medically need a c section of course I will. Gotta do what I gotta do for my baby!
@nerualauren yikes! I wish the best for you mama!
I don’t think the doctor can force you to. I think they just intimidate you which is NOT fair at all. I did have a csection and had a fantastic recover with hardly any scar and healed more quickly than my friend who had a vaginal delivery... that being said, there are many more risks involved with a csection. If you do end up needing an emergency c section like I did, don’t worry :) but do keep going towards vaginal. It’s healthier for both of you 😘😘
@justina.quiles, my doctor is telling me my baby is measuring ahead also. I was induced with my son at 41 weeks.. there’s no way I’m going to go into labor early this time. I so don’t want to have a csection but I have a cyst that needs to be removed. But there other ways to go around it and my doc thinks it’s easier to do both at same time. Only one benefits from csection is the doc.
Doctors aren’t supposed to suggest a csection before 39 weeks unless there is a medical emergency or induced. My doctor wants to induce me at 37- 38 weeks and when I see him this Friday I’m fully denying it. Telling him I want to wait longer, if he doesn’t agree. I’m not going to show up, and deliver at a different hospital.
@justina.quiles yw hun! 😊❤👍
@mamax3bear18 I'm so glad to hear that your kiddos are healthy and you had a great labor with both. Definitely a tough decision. Thank you for your words of encouragement! I really appreciate it. ❤
@justina.quiles of course everyone is different momma but my son came at 37 weeks bc I had a slow leak in amniotic sac & was induced due to this & he was healthy 7lbs 14oz & my daughter came on her own at 38 weeks another healthy blessing weighing 7lbs 11oz. I understand its a tough decision though we want to trust our docs bc its what they do but if you're also fighting ur natural mommy instincts it makes it hard! Thinking of u & wishing for a safe, healthy delivery in whatever you decide ❤
That doesn't seem too big! My son was born 9lbs at 38+4. He was not able to come out vaginally.
@nomli wow what a big baby! I was a 9lb baby. Hoping he will be smaller than that. Lol last week his weight was 6lb 11 oz
@karensmommy hoping for a fast delivery! Thats awesome!
@lovely.angee thanks for letting me know your experience! Ultrasound tech has been saying that the baby boys' head is super low.
My sister was going to be induced at 39 weeks because of medical reasons, but she went into labor naturally just before that. She also measured large, 40w at 36w. He came out fairly healthy, and since there were other reasons besides just being big, he needed a few interventions. He was almost 10lbs.
@justina.quiles yes I did I was in labor for 6 hours I think but I got the epidural
Yes! 37 wks & up is considered full term. My doctor is thinking in inducing me at 37 weeks because my child is very low. I had my sons at 38 weeks vaginally and they were both healthy and ok. It will be ok mama.
@justina.quiles go with your gut feeling love
@karensmommy that's so good to hear! Did you deliver vaginally?
@zachattackmomma yeah I would if I could. I just don't think I could change doctors this late in the game. Thats something I don't want is a c section. I will if I have to but thats terrifying for me. I also heard if you get a c section you are more likely gonna have c section for your future kids.
@justina.quiles, haha. I think everything will work out how it's supposed to. Trust your doctor.
Alllllso, I always do things better under pressure 😂😂
@sweetpea6 thanks girl. Yeah I have heard of problems occurring if they're taken out too early. I'm just worried that it more about convenience for the doctor.
@courtney.welsh thanks Courtney. 😊 I'm so frazzled about this. Lol I'm like partially okay with it cause I'm ready for him to be here but definitely not what I planned on him coming when he wants. Just hoping everything goes smooth. Thought I had 2 more weeks. Now its in 6 days. Ahh!
It might be hard this late but seek a second opinion if you can find someone. I would trust your heart and wait if you feel that’s right. I got induced at 38/1 and ended up in an emergency c section 38/4. Wish I would have trusted my gut and waited
Mine came out healthy at 38 weeks induced 6 pounds 9 oz 29 inches long
It happened to me she was born at supposed 37 wks i was induced but she was only 6.9 and had to see a specialist for heart murmur and an open valve specialist said I prob wasnt as far as they thought she grew out of her heart problems tho and is the strongest child of mine all the way around go with your gut hun
Honestly, I would listen to your doctor. Your doctor knows you best. I would express your concerns with her

Enjoying some fun in the sun ☀️
Don’t come for me about him not wearing a life jacket. I don’t want to hear it. He was fine 🙄

i hope i have my baby this week...or in a couple of years...if he wants to come out...it's whatever he wants 😓
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
Thanks to everyone for responding!! I love how helpful everyone can be on here! And thanks for sharing your experience and letting a first time momma know what you went through! Much love mommas!💗💗
