so i had my daughter yesterday at 5:16 pm without an epidural or pain meds. im a person that cannot tolerate pain what so ever, but i did it! it was definitely worth it!!!!
if you have any questions feel free to ask me because i had the epidural with my son and then just did natural without medication with my daughter.
@daniellejan, the best thing i can tell you is make sure you tell them the highest level of pain tolerance you can take according to the 1-10 scale when they ask. so that way if you get to your breaking point they can ask if you want the epidural then or not because it takes 30 mins to an hour for them to be able to give you all you need to have it. i am definitely not one that can take pain period, but i was dialating so fast that i said screw it and just went for it naturally.
I love this post!!! I’m due less than a week and I wanna try and not get the epidural as well! Any tips?
i didnt think i could either, but every woman is different. like i said its your choice because you know yourself better than anyone else
@ash21816, its completely up to you no one can tell you that you have to or that you cant. its your choice. :)
Every pregnancy is different my pain the first pregnancy I was at a 4 and it hurt so bad... The second time I got to an 8 and they felt similar! A 4 the second time was a breeze. Who knows the 3rd time I would love to go without an epidural! I never wanted to in the first place but I get kidney stones during pregnancy... My firepst pregnancy I got right before and my second I got them right after. I always had labor pains for 3 days before I had my first and my second I was in the hospital for about 24hrs! So all of that could play a part in it!
- Congratulations momma! I had my son with no pain medications, never reached ten centimeters.. I was in shock from finding out he was no longer with me, I felt nothing that day. I don’t know that I’d go natural again. Unfortunately I’m being forced to have a cesarean. Which terrifies the life out of me!
@ash21816, so the best way for me to explain is i got dialated up to a 6 which was when i got the epidural with my son in my first birth. this time when i got that far into dialation, i told them i wanted the epidural still to be an option, but i dialated so quickly into this labor that i went to an 8 and said nope i dont need it ill suffer and keep pushing until i have her. the best way to explain the way the pain felt is like a hardcore stabbing pain, then once i got to an 8 until i started pushing to have her it literally felt like i was trying to push a melon through my vag. the first push was pretty bad pain which i got her head pushed out, then the 2nd push i got the rest of her body out it was 3x worse than the first push. i actually felt like my ass didnt exist and my arms were super weak, and my legs also felt like they didnt exist either because i was in the doggy position when i gave birth. Now feeling all the pain and pressure with her birth compared to my sons birth with the epidural, i would recommend the epidural. other than that im very happy i decided no epidural with this birth because it was like i got to experience the pain with her and it was such an emotional thing that i felt like it made me bond with her even more because her an i endured the same pain the same process and the same outcome together. i bawled so bad lol.
@ash21816, yes. can you ask me the question again
@ash21816, can you say that again. its in weird letters lol
Awesome job mama! I did it too so I completely know how you feel.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!

I will be 41 :/
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
My first one I went fully natural and it was amazing, the 2nd one I had an epidural and the recovery was rough, hoping I don’t have back labor again with the 3rd so that I can go all natural again.
