Why Is the Council Ignoring My Housing Crisis?

And this is how me and my kids live now, how the council haven't done their duty to house us is unbelievable. and they expect me to fit his crib in there too?! fml

@dhovakiinx I was made homeless and they put me in a b&b then I was housed after 5 months. I'm in temporary accommodation now but it's my own 1 bedroom flat until she's 3. Didn't you think to maybe do it that way? I think because you're on the highest band there isn't much they'll be able to do for you. But I guess you could try citizens advice and see what happens hun x

@dhovakiinx the thing is as soon as you say you have some family that can house you they kind of give up on you. If you nan was to kick you out they would be forced to help you. Obviously it's not ideal because you're heavily pregnancy and have children already but that might be an option x

@mum2sky, I know what you mean. i'm due my baby in 4 weeks time, and it's not ideal to be put in emergency accommodation, but i can believe they'll look at my application and see that i'm living with family and look at the next person. I was told the waiting time was 18 months to 20 months and i've been waiting 20 months now. If i'd have known from the start it was going to take this long i would of more than likely gone private. It's cheaper for a council place for what you get privately tbh!

@dhovakiinx yeah the council are fucked up. They tried to keep me at my mum's. I stayed there till my daughter was 12 weeks then I went there with my case and baby and they housed me that night. I gave them a note from my mum saying I was being made homeless and they spoke to her on the phone aswell. Maybe wait till baby is like 2 months and do something similar. Unfortunately sometimes you have to do the extreme to get results x

@dhovakiinx I was in my mum's living room on the sofa with damp and mold and they tried to tell me to share a room with my sister and my daughter. It was crazy. I was fightng my whole pregnancy with them but eventually it paid off I hope you have some luck hun I do x

@mum2sky, Yeah, that's what my dads wife tells me to do. Set up a tent or something in front of the council and say i have no where to go literally. i wouldn't mind, but i've been coming in the top 5 for 5 months now and feel like i'm getting no where :(

@dhovakiinx when youre made top 5 is it you go and look at the property and then youre not offered it from there? X

@dhovakiinx oh because here I think the top 10 get to view the property then if you say you want it they offer it to whoever is priority. That's crazy I really hope you get something soon hun x

Get your grandma to write you a letter saying you can't stay there anymore and give them a date for when you have to be out they should hurry up or put you in temp accommodation till they find you a place x

That's damp!!!!! Very dangerous to be living In damp conditions like that the spores get on your chest!

You need to get onto citizens advice asap... or shelter... as they will give you the best advice.. I've heard shelter is a good one to call for advice.

That's bad and you or babies should not be around that!!!!
