My daughter was born at 26 weeks and was in the NICU for 101 days. She was born via emergency c section due to me having severe eclampsia and my organs were failing. It is hard, but I can promise you it doesn't last forever. Don't be afraid to ask the nurses a million questions and call as many times as you need to if you are unable to be there. Don't be discouraged by set backs your baby has, preemies tend to sometimes take one step forward then two steps back. Also, do nooooot compare your baby. I did this often and it was the worst. Mine was in the NICU it was the most stressful time in my life but you honestly ugh it’s harder to do than day because I was there but you take the time and heal trust the nurses will care for your baby know that it’s ok if you’re not there daily I never slept never ate I was so stuck on my baby and worried but I had the best people I called and they always made me feel better
