I was trying to tell him something just now, and he immediately decided that he didn't want to hear what I had to say, so he walked away and put his headphones on. He assumed I was going to say one thing, when in reality I was trying to tell him something positive about something he just bought.
He does crap like that constantly. Making assumptions at the beginning of a situation, and letting that dictate his attitude throughout the rest of it.
@chelli I'm so over even trying to communicate with him. Even when I send him texts, clearly stating what I'm thinking or feeling, he seems to always translate it completely differently.
I told him we needed to install baby gates that open and close, so that I can keep our toddler confined, away from the stairs, and because I won't be able to step over regular gates right after a c-section, while carrying a newborn.
He brought home what he thought was just regular tension gates, because he decided swing gates are too expensive.
The part where he completely ignored me was when I was telling him, ta-da, i looked over the gate he bought, and it can be tension, OR mounted as an open and close gate.
He decided from the moment I opened my mouth that I was telling him to buy something different.

Send him a text I would still tell him then throw in if he wasnt assuming the worse you could've finished your sentence
