@marieterrell92 No problem! You will feel so much better i promise!! And recovery is really not bad at all! At the time i only have an infant, since you have 2 young ones it may be a little difficult so if you can get some help so you can rest and lay around for a few days you will be okay 😊

My due date is tomorrow and I suffered from SEVERE gall bladder issues the whoooolllleeee pregnancy... I wish I would have gotten it removed. I will be after baby is born, because it was rough......

@tayler i cant wait to eat real food again. Thank you for sharing with me. Ive been so stressed out im finally starting to relax a little. Hopefully i sleep well tonight.

@marieterrell92 Well I'm always one to say, trust your doctor. If the doctor is confident everything will be okay with the baby then definitely go for it. You will enjoy your pregnancy alot more if you're able to keep food down and not be in pain all the time. When I had the surgery, one hole went through my belly botton, one through my side of my stomach and one right below my boobs at the beginning of my stomach.. so if they still do it that way then you should be fine because your uterus is still well below your belly button. Just get a good night's rest and don't stress too much.. it's really not very painful and it's so worth it. Before I was like you, unable to eat anything. Now I can eat everything! And I also poop alot more where as before I only pooped twice or so a week!

@tayler ondestrone (zofran that dissolves). My pain is anytime i have something that isnt broth. Its like everything gets stuck.

@marieterrell92 What kind of nausea pills are they? And how constant is your pain?

@tayler unfortunately i cant have tylenol 3 but hopefully they have something in mind that will work. I got the speech of how there is risks with every surgery. The surgeon says hes done this several times for pregnant women. My husband is more worried that the nausea pills will hurt the baby than the surgery.

@marieterrell92 Yes I had to take tyelnol 3s. And I had to change my diet completely it was definitely horrible. They didn't offer me surgery though. They told me I had to wait until the baby was born. That was 5 years ago though so if the doctors are saying it's safe, then go for it! But if she's saying there's risks I may not go for it.

@tayler i couldn't imagine going through the rest of pregnancy like this. I cant even eat crackers without nausea meds. Did you not have to take pain meds?

@marieterrell92 I was 12 weeks when they found out I had the stones. And i didn't have surgery until 3 months after my baby was born. It was actually not painful at all. After I left the hospital I was really tired for a couple days but other than that I was able to take care of the baby, walk around and clean normally.

@tayler i was told they only do it between 10-13weeks. Were you further along? What was recovery like?

I had gallbladder stones when I was pregnAnt with my first but they waited until she was born to do surgery.

@db413 one of the risks is losing the baby. Im mostly worried about pain after surgery. Im allergic to codon and with being pregnant im not really sure what if anything ill be able to have. The only person i know who had it done said it was alot of pain and a longer recovery than what the dr said. She wasnt even pregnant when she had it done. Last night i had a nightmare that id lost the baby.

I haven't had it. But I'm sure the drs wouldn't do it if it weren't safe for you and for baby.
