No it's not inhumane at all. It's for their safety? Only get shocked when they do something they aren't supposed to do. The shock isn't bad. It's like when you spank a kid. Enough to get their attention so they know it's something they shouldn't do and keep them away. Some people are too damn sensitive. It would be different if you shocked the dog for barking or anything but to keep him away from the road and for his safety it's fine. That's what they are made for.

Exactly. My grandma had one for her dog and I put it on because I felt bad and even on the highest shock it didn't hurt it was just surprising.

@damiensmommy1117, I've done similar. It mean it doesn't feel pleasant but it's the same amount of pain and being struck by a hand.

I have two shock collars and they are far from inhumane. They would never make them if it was to brutally hurt the dog

@courtneyraelochamy, @damiensmommy1117, right!! I’m like what the heck lol it’s inhumane to let my dog go onto the road and get hit by a car when there was a way to prevent it!! He knows not to go into the road but the moment he realizes he doesn’t have the collar on he always goes and lays on it for some reason! He is mostly an inside dog so we only put it on him when he goes out side and then take it off when he wants back in lol but it’s like a $500 system and the collar itself is $250 so we want that back! And my friend called the cops and they are druggies so let’s just hope they stay away for awhile

@sharonpaige13, people are just overly sensitive and need to get off their mommas tit over some thing for real. And good the cops need to be called. That's theft and worth enough money to be a big deal. I hope you get it back. That's ridiculous it's not theirs to take.

Imhumane my ass. What’s in humane is the people who keep their dogs chained 24/7 and never let them inside. Atleast your doggo gets free range to roam and only shocked to keep home from getting hit 🤦🏼‍♀️🤔 people these days...

@mommyof1boyy, he is also inside most of the day! And then when he wants outside we let him out he stays out as long as he wants and comes back to the door when he wants back inside! Like I give my dog the option of being outside or inside lol

@all4myprinces actually the shock isn't that bad. It's just like static electricity. I hated the idea for years and started doing more research into it.

@all4myprinces my pets have always been like kids to me. You ain't gotta give me that lecture. You're saying you never shocked your sibling or friends or had anyone shock you? It's more of a startle than a pain. They make prank gums and toys that do the same thing. A quick shock. My parents pranked me like that when I was a kid. You gonna say my parents weren't treating me like family?

@maesmommy04, I have to agree with you! It’s like spanking is a way you do it to make a point not hurt them! And I feel that is how a dog would be too! We never laid hands on our dogs! But I think it would be inhumane to let him get hit on the road rather then take a little shock that doesn’t even make him yell or anything people are obviously not seeing the point in that

@sharonpaige13 exactly. Spanking is a wonderful analogy. Would you rather your child get seriously injured or a quick pop on the butt? I can't afford a system like that so I've popped by pups with a paper. And it gets the point across. They learn not to get into things that could hurt them. Someone I know doesn't believe on disaplining their dog. One night he got chicken bones out of the garage and they had to pay a giant vet bill. Pup almost died. They could have been prevented by teaching him. Just like kids I want my furbabies safe too
