I asked my dr today At my appointment and she said she will do it the next time I come in which will be next Tuesday

@kelliewilder57 sorry for the late reply, but yeah they normally do it towards the end of your pregnancy. It was a couple of days before my due date when the doctor did the first membrane sweep.

I called my midwife the other day about this I'm 39weeks she said

We don't do that unless you are pass your due date

To me that was some bull

But o well :(.

@raquely, wow. It worked great for you. I was dilated 2 cm last week and I’ve been having contractions and serious pressure but while the pressure stays and she’s so low, the contractions will get bad to the point of me shaking or having tears in my eyes and then they will stop. I have an appointment today. So I’ll see what the doctor says. I doubt she will do it today. But I’ll tell you what. I used to say I loved being pregnant and I really did with my other babies but this pregnancy has been an absolute nightmare from day one. I know it’ll be worth it when it’s all over because I’ll be holding my sweet girl. And I love her more than anything already. But I’m done with pregnancies. I don’t think my body can handle another pregnancy like this.

@theirmommytiara, I’m trying to remember when they did it to me with my other kids. I don’t remember it working on any of them but I think it was around 37-38 weeks

39 weeks for me but it didn't work had to have it done twice
