So I'm starting to kind of freak out my little girl is 8 weeks today and this will be the 4th day she hasn't pooped. She is still passing plenty of gas and peeing a lot. She is breastfed and she's not acting like her stomach is hurting is this normal?

She can go 14 days without a bowel movement. No need for gripe water, q tips or anything. It will come. Tummy massages and bicycles for gas but other than that just give it time

Yes gripe water works. Also if her belly is hard try the thermometer thing. My daughter wasn't pooping in the 1st week we brought her home and that worked wonders.

But it is normal for them to go days

It’s normal for breastfed babies not to go that often. But usually if My baby goes about 6-7 days I give her gripe water she will poop the next day

@karenx3 a q tip works too. It stimulates the bowels into pooping sometimes 👍

Try some gripe water 2.5mls of that usually gets my baby girl to poop in 24 hours

My son was like that too when he was a few weeks old.. the doctor suggested I put a thermometer in his butt and kind of take it out(if that makes sense).

Yep. My girl went from pooping every day at least 5 times to pooping every 2 days at least 2 times. Completely normal. Breast milk is digested fast and leaves almost no waste.
