I swear sometimes it feels like my husband and I come from two different worlds. His momma is from up north and his dad is from Mississippi but he was raised by his momma he has a few southern tendencies but his mom, despite living down here for 21 years has none. I come from a purely southern family. I don't recall any of my family living anywhere but the south eastern U.S. and things that are common sense to me are weird to them and vise versa. It's kind of crazy sometimes and I feel out numbered on occasion. My mil is always complaining how I never cook but I only know how to make southern home cooked meals or boxed meals because that's all I ate. They always complain when I cook what I know how to cook so I just gave up. I haven't had cornbread in ages because I'm the only one who will eat it, otherwise it goes to waste. Drive me nuts. Okay sorry for the randon rant. Any other mommas deal with different in culture styles in the family?
