Who has given birth naturally, no pain meds by choice? I have a few questions.
@sawyersmom lol I need to feel that lol thanks 😊
I would do it again in a heartbeat. The contractions hurt, but not unbearably. The pushing doesn't hurt. I overall felt amazing. Just proud and the relief after the baby comes out is the best feeling I have ever experienced lol
@thechrismanmommy16 lol I know you did! Haha
@sawyersmom how was it?
@spinnerc515 lol ooo thanks and I'm excited. We talk a lot and she can feel everything I go through even when we're not together lol
@skyy12221, a doula will be a HUGE help in allowing you to have a natural birth. My hospital has free doulas but who’s available at 230am...not a lot of people!! So, no doula, but I did it naturally anyway.
@maesmommy04 I love white noise my 1 year old does too I'm gonna try showering if I don't have a tub in my room. I'll have to look into oils.
@hallek129 I had a horrible nurse with my second but I have a doula hopefully she helps me out along with hubby and I'll keep that my main focus!
Thank you ladies! 😊😊
I had two very good nurses that helped me focus on my breathing when was pushing time. I didn't want to do pitocin because of the side effects that could've caused on the baby or me. But you know that once baby is born all pain is forgotten if you choose not to have any meds.
@skyy12221 I'll be honest. I had back labor and was wanting pain meds in the iv. My water broke at home so I was hurting pretty bad on the ride. But once I got to the hospital and could move around I was okay. When I asked for pain meds they told me they had to monitor the baby for 30 minutes. Yeah..no I couldn't sit in bed. I decided on showering when I was dialated to a six. I was in for 20 minutes and when I got out I was at a ten. It sounds crazy but I had a blend of essential oils on a necklace I wore which seemed to help. The hot water was wonderful I only got out cause my body was pushing so much I was worried I'd have her in the shower. Oh I also had a white noise app on my phone. I used a storm and rain. My whole third trimester that's what I fell asleep to.
@skyy12221 glad I could help momma, YOU CAN DO IT!! 😊❤👍
@mamax3bear18 yesss! Thats awesome mama! I'm gonna try those methods
@mississippi.mama lol I had pitocin I don't want it this time lol
@maesmommy04 @hallek129 how was your experience? How'd you cope?
@skyy12221 I was induced with my son & I'm telling you I almost broke down & got the epi! with my daughter I woke up around 11:30pm having contractions & she was born in the hospital a little after 4:30am so having such a quick labor I think helped as far as my strength/endurance of the contractions. I also had really great nurses..I just focused on my breathing & my SO was a huge help emotionally. After each contraction I just thought about how much closer it was bringing me to my baby & in between contractions I did not pay attention or want to be told when the next one was coming & I feel that helped me fully relax in between. Ive been very lucky in that once I started pushing with both of my kids they were out in 30 min or less! If you've got a high pain tolerance you're already one up on me hun I'm such a wimp when it comes to pain like I can't believe I haven't had an epi lol but I figure I've done it naturally twice might as well power through it one last time 💪😅
I had my little girl natural and plan to with this one too:)
I was induced with pitocin and did not get the epidural. Now they did give me a narcotic so I could get rest because I had been up for 36 hours and a dud bag of pitocin, waiting for it to work lol
@mamax3bear18 my girl! Lol what are your coping methods? I'm hoping I don't get induced this time. I really want to avoid the epi I've had it twice and don't want it again but I feel like me being induced caused me to get it. I have a high pain tolerance but once I hit 8cm I feel like I failed cause I shoot to 10 real fast like had I waited I would've did it natural.
I have twice & planning the same for this baby!
@katirashawn maybe next baby 😊
