What’s the best and appropriate punishment for toddler bitting?

@amelliaholmes1457 my nephew had a problem with biting and licking ppl when he was a toddler. So one day after he did it I put just a lil bit of hot sauce in my arm then told him to do it again and he never bit or licked anyone after that. It was Tabasco sauce.

I've gotten told if your child bites bite them back then they will stop because they will know how it feels and won't do it again. Mine never started to bite idk why they lol.

I bite back. Not hard, but hard enough so she's like "ow!".

She's only bit me once and my husband once. Both times I bit back and she hasn't done it since.

I bit her back and said "See! It hurts! You don't hurt people! You don't bite!"

I wouldn't bite back since you do it they will think it's ok or if another child bit them they will bite back but I would say no firmly and put in time out or spank their hand but consistency is key
